1.Ferrosiliconis iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is siliconiron alloys that made of coke, steel scrap, quartz (or silica) byelectric furnace. Silicon and oxygen is easy to combine in silica,so it is often used in steelmaking as deoxidizer; lots of heat isgiven off accompanying with generating SiO2, so it is helpful toraising the liquid steel temperature when deoxidizing.
